Vegan Traders is a regional food distribution company, founded in 2005 by Risa Freeman, that promotes veganism for its benefits to personal health, animal rights, and the environment. The company began by delivering the products of small, local producers to a few stores in the Los Angeles Area. Since then Vegan Traders has grown substantially and now delivers to stores from Santa Barbara to San Diego. In all this growth, however, the company has not lost sight of its original aims. Vegan foods, produced locally, enhanced by a collection of specially chosen unique raw and vegan artisan products from other areas are still the company's main focus. Vegan Traders team includes sales persons highly knowledgeable in health and nutrition and drivers experienced in carefully handling raw and vegan foods, shelf stable, refrigerated and frozen.
